Video capture.
Fixed the rotation and placement of Scene 1 and Scene 2 when they are held up together. Added a few more elements to Scene 2. Next: add fireflies, stars, and moving water to Scene 2.
FINALLY I have multiple marker detection working!!
Obviously the rotations are all wrong - I still have to play with that :)
Scene 2 in progress. To be added: more objects on the ground, fireflies in the air and stars in the background.
So progress is slow which is not good… We basically have 10 weeks left, and if you leave 2 weeks for touchups and video documentation, that gives me just 8 weeks left to finish this thing.
This is just a demo of reading 2 markers at the same time. I’m going to do page flips for scene changes instead of knocking (each page will have one marker on it), because it’s easier to control and probably more intuitive. The second image is a custom marker for the first scene.
I made a small character from Papervision primitives. The texture is just temporary. But still, the consensus seems to be that my 3D characters look too simplistic and do not match with the hand-drawn style of the other objects. So I’m going back to my 2D characters…
